Chia Seed Oil
Salvia hispanica L. is an annual herbaceous flowering plant and native to Mexico and northern Guatemala. Chia Seed oil is obtained from the edible seeds of the plant by cold pressing method .
Chia Seed oil is rich in unsaturated fatty acids omega-3 (Alpha linolenic acid) and omega-6 (Linoleic acid) fatty acids. Chia seed and its oil contain a large number of natural antioxidants, such as tocopherols, phytosterols,and carotenoids. Chia seed also contains the flavonoids quercetin, chlorogenic acid, and caffeic acid [2,3].
Chia Seed has high nutritional and medicinal values. Thanks to its antioxidant content, it protects the skin against environmental stress factors and helps reduce the appearance of wrinkles and age spots .
Chia Seed oil can be used alone or blended with your other favorite base oil.
This oil is suitable for all skin types, ideally suitable for dry, sensitive or mature skins.
Topically, Chia Seed can have a soothing effect on irritation, dermatitis, and cracked skin. It also helps reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Use Chia Seed oil as a hair conditioner. Apply oil on your scalp and hair. Gentle massage with fingertips using a circular motion, 20 minutes to a couple of hours prior to a hair wash.
Use Chia Seed oil as a base oil in massage mixtures to use on irritation, dermatitis, and cracked skin to help relieve itchiness, flakiness, and inflammation.
